Read 180 is a state approved program with lots of success at many schools.

Initial Screening
The following data points should be used for the 2011-2012 school to identify students needing intensive interventions:

Reading and Writing Skills Practice Procedures

Step 1: use the poster to choose a book in your level.

Step 2: Find your Book Packet. Inside will be:
- Reading Log
- Graphic Organizer
- Quick Write
- Vocabulary log

Step 3: Read your book while completing your Book Packet

Step 4: Remember to write in your Reading Log EVERYDAY.

Step 5: When you finish your book and your Book packet, you may turn it into Quiz.

Step 6: take an SRC Quiz for your book on the computer.

Station: Instructional Software Procedures

Step 1: Sit at your assigned computer.

Step 2: Untangle wires

Step 3: Put on headphones

Step 4: Go to Read 180 website.

Step 5: Adjust volume and microphone

  2. Click on the blue ‘Reports’ tab.  
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and select ‘Student Roster’ (second one on the bottom)
